Plan Your Trip

Roam Fest is held at 18 Road Staging Area in the North Fruita Desert.

Locally referred to as "18 Road", the 18 Road Trail system sits amongst hundreds of miles of BLM land - including the primitive North Fruita Desert camping loops G-H & the 18 Road Staging Area, our festival venue.

  • Flying

We do not reccomend ride share apps for transportation when flying…it is expensive and limited. Book a car rental or plan for a friend pickup if flying.

(GJT) Grand Junction Airport: 35 Minutes from event venue

(MTJ) Montrose Airport: 1.5 Hours Away

(SLC) Salt Lake City: 4 Hours Away *often easier than Denver and same distance.

(DEN) Denver: 4 Hours Away *often airport or road delays, choose SLC if pricing/timing is similar.

    STAYING IN TOWN

If a shower and a real bed are your love language, plan to take the 20ish minute drive to/from Fruita, Colorado.

Lodging options in Fruita are available to fit all needs and budgets. Choose from hotels, or snag a short term vacation rental to fit the whole crew.

About Town

  • Get There Safely

Getting there and back safely is part of going. NEVER drive under the influence. ALWAYS designate a driver or ask our staff for assistance getting safely home.

  • Be Good in Town

Please respect the fine city of Fruita, our gracious hosts, and be an outstanding guest and Roamie.

Be mindful of driving in neighborhoods, obey speed limits, don’t park like a jerk, & as always– be nice, say hi.

  • In Town Eats

Enjoy the trifecta of Hot Tomato Pizza (closed Sun/Mon!), Best Slope Coffee, & Basecamp Provisions. A number of other tasty eats are abound in Fruita.

City Market, or the delightfully local Skips Market are your best bet for groceries.

FREE Onsite Camping

DAY PARKING: Open Fri-Sun 7am

Festival camping is for festival pass holders only.

Camping with other friends, family, pets, in a large RV/trailer, or simply don't want to cram into our rugged village? Book your own BLM campground site in loops A-D, and ride over to the festival on singletrack!

NO KIDS, DOGS, DUDES

Strictly enforced.

You’re welcome for the weekend break from all these responsibilities. Check out our FAQs for what to do if traveling with furbabies/pets or non-festival going family or crew.

QUIET HOURS

Nightly 10pm-7am

Some of us are tired & need our looking-gotdamn-fabulous sleep. Be a good neighbor & pipe down the noise, including all generators/machinery, music, and that heartwarming but loud as hell campside storytime (laughter) during quiet hours.

ARRIVE TOGETHER

Camping with friends?

Sites are assigned in the order you arrive & are shared with fellow Roamies. Arrive with your entire group if you want to camp together!

BABY WIPES FOR THE WIN

Let’s Practice Being Hardcore

Hauling every ounce of water from town means no showers babes. Feel free to BYO get-clean kit or just embrace being dirty, sweaty, and happy. If camping, bring 3-5 gallons of H20 per person for the weekend - we’ll have water for drinking refills.

CAMPING LOAD IN

Thursday 4pm-9pm

If you arrive early, stage on 18-Road before the turn-off. Please pull all the way over to keep the roads clear for other vehicles.

See a line of cars? Get in it!

LEAVE NO TRACE

Be a Great Guest

Thanks for helping us leave our public lands (and backyard) better than we found them. Trash, recycling, & the world’s cleanest toilets are available to help keep tidy. NO TRASH, including “flushable” wipes, in pit toilets/portas potties!
