Roam Fest is on a mission to inspire, elevate, and educate the next generation of digital creators by providing mentorship opportunities to participants in the Roam Media Core program.
Roam Media Core mentees will learn from industry pros in a real-time action sports environment at Roam Fest, the world’s biggest femme-focused mountain bike party, and will create compelling, inspirational storytelling as part of the collaborative Roam Media Core team.
Funding for Roam Media Core comes from Peak Design and Patagonia in partnership with The Roam Collective, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that offers financial and logistical support to individuals and organizations dedicated to increasing representation in the mountain biking community.

Program Mentee Selection
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Roam Media Core focuses on professional development, not teaching basic photography or media skills.
While prior paid professional experience isn't required, applicants should possess fundamental skills and be able to create professional-quality content on schedule.
Eligibility:
Availability to attend all days of programming September 17-21, 2025 in Fruita, Colorado
Creatives 21 years of age or older with 2+ years of experience in their respective craft
Female/femme/non-binary folks comfortable in a feminine-centered environment
50% of Roam Media Core member spaces will be held for folks identifying as BIPOC/LGBTQ+
Who we’re looking for:
Highly motivated creatives with a confident understanding of their craft
Folks with the stoke to manage the demands of long, physical days of on-trail action shoots including:
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to walk and work long distances on uneven terrain
Ability to be prepared for and work in varied inclement weather
Individuals looking to collaborate with and elevate other creatives (a rising tide lifts all ships!)
Action-sports adjacent creatives such as outdoor photographers, social media managers, commercial videographers, and anyone with an interest in professional development in the world of action sports media and the skills to pay (at least some of) the bills.

Four days of mentorship, workshops, and networking at Roam Fest Fruita - the world's largest and longest running femme MTB festival.

Attendance at Roam Fest Fruita, the first and largest femme mtb festival in the world
Selection:
Application status for Roam Media Core will be announced by June 10, 2025
Finalists will join the Roam Media Core selection committee on a 30-minute video interview
